Google is praising the tradition of late Lebanese American essayist and painter Etel Adnan with a delineation on its landing page. “Etel Adnan enlivened those lucky to have met her face to face. She showed us how significant memory is without wistfulness and made actual in words and pictures excellence delivered from the light and murkiness of the twentieth and 21st 100 years,” Mary Sabbatino, VP and accomplice at Galerie Lelong, Adnan’s long-lasting portrayal told ARTnews upon her passing in 2021, at age 96.
